Henry Grattan - Greeting Card - Padstow

The old harbour is surrounded by houses, which display various textures from stone to slate hung and red brick, with some dating back to The Middle Ages. For centuries Padstow was the only safe refuge of any size for miles along this stretch of rugged North Coast Coastline. 

St Petroc, Cornwall's chief Saint, established his first monastery here in the sixth century.
